Since 2003, the Knowledge Center for Public Administration and Policy has invited numerous professionals from different sectors for discussions on various policy areas and research fields. The main purpose of the Knowledge Center Forum Events is to promote proliferation of knowledge and government policies by enticing different ideas into discussion, ultimately to better the quality of the public administration.

The Knowledge Center for Public Administration and Policy started by bringing the 12 major government projects of President Roh Moo-hyun. The forum was divided into four different policy areas, and beginning in March 2005, the forum invited professionals for discussions on different policy areas and research areas. From 2007, the idea developed into special invitation forums to bring in thorough, differing ideas on a subject in order to overcome a short discussion.
